Nantucket Private Chef
Kaity Farrell
For our Nantucket campaign, we partnered with private chef Kaity Farrell, whose seasonal cooking captures the spirit of island entertaining. Known for her farm-to-table approach and beautifully styled dishes, Kaity creates desserts inspired by Nantucket’s gardens, local farms, and coastal landscape.
"A perfect gathering brings together friends and family with an unfussy menu of simple delicious food and drinks, in a beautiful outdoor setting with great tunes."

For those who may be discovering Fare Isle for the first time, how would you describe your approach to cooking and entertaining?
My food and recipes are inspired by the seasons and rustic peasant-style cooking. I like simple, beautiful and delicious food and my approach to entertaining is aligned with that. I love bringing natural elements into an unfussy table setting and want my guests to feel welcomed and at home.

What draws you to seasonal baking, and how do you let ingredients guide the final dish?
I think the best ingredients are the freshest, local and in season ones. This is the reason we started our home orchard and garden. There’s nothing that compares to tree-ripened fruit at the height of its season.
"The women in my family have been great inspirations for me and were my first teachers in the kitchen. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them."

Your work feels deeply rooted in gathering and hospitality. How do you see food and drink shaping meaningful moments around the table?
I think gathering around a table for a meal is a universal human experience - a thread that connects us all. It is perhaps the most fundamental thing we humans do that brings us together against the countless things that separate us.
Kaity's recipes:

Olive oil almond cake
A light, tender almond cake made with olive oil and bright lemon zest. Finished with whipped cream and fresh berries, it’s an effortless dessert that feels both simple and beautifully seasonal.

Stone fruit galette
A beautifully simple dessert highlighting peak summer stone fruit. Juicy peaches are folded into a flaky, golden pastry and baked into a rustic galette that feels both relaxed and elegant for summer gatherings.
